Description
  • The purpose of this class is to architect, implement, maintain and provide overall management of the County's cloud computing strategy.
Job Responsibilities
  • The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the class as necessary.
  • Design a cloud strategy and manage the adoption and implementation processes.
  • Play a strategic role in designing and maintaining all cloud systems including the front-end platforms, servers, storage and management networks.
  • Develop and organize cloud systems, including application development, data management, and identity and access management.
  • Work in partnership with IT Security to monitor the company's cloud platform security.
  • Monitor cloud system performance.
  • Work with a variety of stakeholder to both inform and collect information for both the technical and business sides of the cloud infrastructure.
  • Identify top cloud solutions to meet the County's strategic needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Four-year degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Three to five years' experience designing, executing, and supporting cloud solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud computing technologies and current computing trends.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Azure.
  • Proficiency in programming and coding languages.
  • Strong attention to detail with good communication and organizational skills.
  • Possess business acumen to work directly with elected officials and department heads.
  • Complete CJIS Awareness Training Level 4 every two years.
