About the job Psychiatrist FT - Inpatient/Outpatient
Full time Psychiatrist needed for combo inpatient and outpatient at Centennial Medical Center and our new Nashville clinic, will include GME faculty role at Centennial and optional ECT service, some experience with addiction medicine preferable, one weekend per month of call/rounding, no night-call requirement.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients admitted to the inpatient unit
- Review medical records and conduct interviews with patients and their families to gather comprehensive information
- Formulate accurate diagnoses based on DSM-5 criteria and clinical findings
- Develop individualized treatment plans for each patient
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, adjusting as necessary for optimal outcomes
- Provide crisis intervention and supportive counseling as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited psychiatry residency program
- Board certification or eligibility in psychiatry
- Current state medical license and DEA registration
- Experience in inpatient psychiatric care preferred
