Job Description
Summary:
  • Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
  • Department: Oncology Unit
  • Shift timing; 1845 - 0715
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • ssess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Unit Capacity: 24 Beds, one lead lined room suitable for radiation isolation Population Served: Patients with the following diagnosis: Solid tumors (most frequently lung, breast, colon)/Leukemia, Lymphomas, Myeloma/Gynecologic malignancies (primarily ovarian and cervical)/Cancer symptom management/Febrile Neutropenia/Uncontrolled pain/Sickle Cell Anemia/Hematologic diseases/Post operative Mastectomy/Post operative Gynecological Oncology/Med/Surg overflow
  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
  • Minimum of 1 years of Experience as a Travel Register Nurse.
