PhysicianRequisition IDreq30769Working TitlePhysicianPosition Grade93Position SummaryThe University of New Mexico Hospital, New Mexico's foremost teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center is seeking experienced providers to staff the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit as on-call physicians. UNM Hospital is adjacent to the campus and functions as the county hospital and regional referral center, as well as serving as the ED for Indian Health Services Hospital. The on-call physician may also provide services to the Sandoval Regional Medical Center. As an integrated emergency department, University Hospital triages 50,000 patients. Physicians, under direct supervision, provide and manage direct health care for specified patient population. This position is required to work a minimum of 2 shifts a month. This position is on-call and is not benefit eligible.
