Job Summary: Organix is seeking a Commercial Accounts Manager to be responsible for managing and developing commercial accounts through the sales of fertilizer products. The Commercial Accounts Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the customer relationship and will serve as the primary point of contact for all customers.
This is a hybrid role that can be based in Platteville, CO, Lewiston, UT or Pasco, WA with preference for Colorado or Washington. Expectation is to be on site most days of the week during peak season (Feb - Sept) with more flexibility during the off-season.
Essential Job Functions: - Grow and nurture trusted relationships with top level distributors and customers to maintain and expand the business they do with Organix
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan that drives growth with our commercial customers
- Identify and champion new customer and new market opportunities
- Evaluate, explore and recommend new business opportunities and/or products
- Function as an agronomist while working with commercial customers to develop custom formulations
- Coordinate sales activity with the production team to ensure we can deliver on our commitments
- Manage procurement processes to meet the need of fertilizer customers
- Develop and implement pricing strategies that enhance profitability
- Keep up to date with industry trends by networking with the technical community and attending meetings and conventions
- Support the strategic growth plans for the overall fertilizer business

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Required Qualifications: - 3- 5 years of experience in commercial fertilizer sales or a similar role
- Sound knowledge of fertilizer markets, trends and supply chains
- Deep understanding of both synthetic and organic fertilizers
- Self-Starter
- Works well with others
Preferred Qualifications: - Turf ornamental or ag background
Work Environment: Travel: - Willingness to travel, as needed; travel may include site visits, equipment demos, conferences / industry events, leadership and training events as they arise
