JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
JOB SUMMARY:
Provide compassionate, high-quality care for patients through the entire course of cancer treatment. Prescribe systemic treatments and care coordination with other physicians involved in management of cancer care. Position focus is on the management of breast cancer patients in close collaboration with fellowship-trained breast surgeons, reconstructive surgeons, radiation oncologists, and radiologists. NAPBC accredited program with a comprehensive support team that includes a high-risk breast program, nurse navigators, integrative therapy, and multi-disciplinary clinics. Practice in collaboration with the St. Tammany Cancer Center and MD Anderson partnership.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Medical Degree from an ACGME accredited school
- Must be licensed by the Louisiana State board of Medical Examiners
- Successful completion of Hematology Oncology fellowship and Board Certification/ Board Eligible in Medical Oncology and Hematology
- Epic experience a plus
- Practice-based learning and improvement

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 10 pounds is required. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
