Educate patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive health care, to improve their overall health and outcomes. Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients. Collaborate with other physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, and clinical staff to form a high performing medical team. Professionally knowledgeable, responsible, and accountable in an environment that requires efficiency, speed, and thoroughness. Encourages an environment of teamwork. Communicates ideas and goals clearly and is an effective listener. Demonstrates a regular and punctual attendance pattern.Perform all duties and functions in strict compliance of clinic policy and procedures, and all applicable federal, state, local, and regulatory agencies. Adhere to ongoing quality improvement objectives and safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal and state health information privacy laws. Ensure compliance by support staff. Assist in updating protocols and principles of practice as requested.Exhibits knowledge of evaluation and management (E&M) coding guidelines and demonstrates appropriate application of those guidelines as evidenced by accurate E&M coding.Utilize leadership and professional development skills to assure quality patient care and medical practice. Acts as a role model and in selected situations precept clinical staff and other advanced practice health care professionals. Adhere to University Health Services productivity standards and key performance indicators (KPIs).Has strength and stamina for prolonged standing, walking, sitting, and dealing with stressful situations. Ability to lift at least 60lbs., reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office and medical equipment. Lifting required as needed to assist patients.Potential exposure to infectious materials; substances; biohazards including HIV, Hepatitis, lates etc.Perform all other related clinical tasks, administrative tasks, or special tasks as required. Readily accepts other responsibilities and participates in other activities and committees as assigned.Special Instructions to ApplicantsEducation & ExperiencePosition Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Graduate of an accredited U.S. medical school - MD or DO. Completion of an accredited three year residency in an appropriate specialty.Must currently hold Oklahoma medical license, DEA license and Oklahoma BNDD or be able to obtain prior to beginning work.Board certification or board eligible in an appropriate specialty.
