ECS is seeking a Cloud Architect to work in our Fairfax, VA office. Please Note: This position is contingent upon (contract award).
The Infrastructure Architect will be responsible for analysis, prototyping, designing, and implementing Cloud Infrastructure by creating scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based systems for various applications and services. The candidate will work closely with IT teams and software developers to ensure smooth integration of cloud solutions that meet all security and regulatory requirements. In the role, the candidate will be expected to maintain and monitor existing on-premises and cloud systems to ensure high availability and performance. The candidate will also be responsible for analysis and implementation of disaster recovery plans while working with the Architecture committee to ensure compliance and consistency across the platform.

• 8+ years of IT infrastructure experience, with 3+ years in an architectural role.
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing, network security, data storage, and system troubleshooting. Familiarity with major cloud service platforms -primarily AWS.
• Understanding of security protocols and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in OS administration (Windows Server, Linux)
• Scripting experience (Python, Bash, etc.) for automating infrastructure tasks.
• Data Storage -Knowledge of data management and storage solutions.
• System Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
• Experience with automation tools for cloud infrastructure.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to obtain a public trust clearance.
