Ipsolon Research, Inc. (IRI), now a part of BlueHalo, has an opening for an engineering lab technician with 0-5 years of experience. We require a minimum of one year of college or ideally an associate's degree and would prefer someone who plans to continue their education toward an engineering, physics, or computer science undergraduate degree. The ideal candidate should have classes in discrete math and some basic programming courses.
This Engineering Lab Technician will need to possess a fundamental knowledge of electronics. Some background or experience building circuits and/or doing embedded programming projects is highly desired. We are looking for a real hands-on electronics technician who is willing to learn circuit design, schematic capture, embedded software programming, circuit board assembly, and wireless test and measurement. We have a full electronic circuit assembly capability in-house for rapid prototyping of advanced Software Defined Radio and RADAR circuit cards. To be successful in this role you must have a strong interest in learning advanced high-density design and assembly.
As part of this role, you will also have inventory control duties. These will include monitoring and recording inventory levels, including raw materials, finished goods and lab supplies. This will also include conducting regular inventory counts to reconcile physical inventory with recorded figures.
NOTE: This role will initially be staffed at IRI/BlueHalo's facility in Frederick, MD and will move to our new facility in Germantown MD when it opens in March 2025.

Hourly Range: $20/hour - $30/hour (depending on years of experience)
