Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist
Job Specialty: Speech Therapy
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 8H Days, 4x10's (0730-1800), with weekend and holiday requirements
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 1 year
License: Current licensure required
Certifications: BLS, CCC-SLP
Must-Have:
- 1+ years experience in acute care
- Competency in VFSS (video fluoroscopic swallow study)
- Preferably some rehab unit experience, open to first-time travelers
Job Description:
- Provide speech therapy services in acute inpatient and acute rehab settings
- Treat 8 to 10 patients per day with varying diagnoses including strokes, pneumonia, sepsis, etc.
- Cover areas including ICU, acute tower, and rehab unit
- Possibility of floating to nearby facilities as needed
- Employ EPIC for electronic medical records management
- Collaborate with fellow SLPs and rehab aides under the supervision of a manager
- Participate in a 2-3 day unit-specific orientation
- Flexible scheduling, with potential adjustments for coverage needs
- Wear scrubs according to the dress code, with specific colors provided upon hire
