Marketing Officer: Multimedia Creation and Social Media Management
Working under the Marketing Supervisor within a highly collaborative team, MCHS is seeking a dynamic and talented Marketing Officer to join our Marketing and Development Team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set encompassing graphic design, video production, photography, social media management, writing, and web maintenance. This individual will play a crucial role in enhancing our organization's visibility, engagement, and overall marketing strategy.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Graphic Design:
  • Utilize Adobe Creative Cloud, with a primary focus on Illustrator and InDesign, to create visually compelling materials for both print and digital platforms.
  • Design marketing collateral, brochures, flyers, banners, and other materials that effectively communicate the organization's mission and values.
Web Maintenance:
  • Update and maintain the organization's website, ensuring that content is accurate, relevant, and visually appealing.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement any necessary technical updates and improvements.
Copy Writing:
  • Craft compelling and concise social media copy that aligns with the organization's voice and tone.
  • Contribute to web content creation, ensuring that the website remains up-to-date and reflects the latest organizational developments.
Social Media Management:
  • Drive social media strategy, including content ideation and creation across various platforms.
  • Develop visually appealing and shareable content to increase brand awareness and engagement.
  • Monitor social media trends and analytics to optimize content and maximize reach.
Photography:
  • Capture high-quality event photographs that document key moments, convey the essence of our organization's mission/services, and motivate engagement.
  • Occasionally take headshots of key personnel for use in promotional materials and online platforms.
Creative Video Editing and Production:
  • Develop short-form and long-form testimonial videos that showcase the impact of our programs and initiatives.
  • Edit and produce engaging video content that aligns with the organization's messaging and resonates with our target audience.
BASIC COMPETENCIES
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Three years of experience in marketing and/or public relations.
  • Proven experience in graphic design, video editing, photography, and social media management.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Premier Pro.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Experience with web content management systems (CMS).
  • Passion for and understanding of the non-profit sector.
