Attorney -Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury

Miami Lakes, Florida


An award-winning Plaintiff law firm in Miami Lakes seeks an eager attorney to join its Medical Malpractice trial division. Ideal candidates will have 1-3 years of experience working in the matters of plaintiff medical malpractice and personal injury as an attorney or as a law student.

  • Responsibilities

    In this role, you will work alongside seasoned attorneys handling plaintiff malpractice cases and attending the trial.


    • Oversee all aspects of case management, including strategy development, negotiations, and trial preparation.
    • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and handle complex motion practice.
    • Collaborate with managing partners on developing and implementing firm-wide strategies, goals and initiatives.
    • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPI’s), utilizing data to drive decision-making and improve performance.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, professional development, and a strong work ethic.
    • Interview clients to learn about the malpractice experience
    • Investigate the operations of medical professionals to determine whether malpractice has occurred
    • Conducting research on the conditions clients experience so they can speak about them in court
    • Drafting motions to use in courtroom proceedings
    • Collecting medical records to analyze evidence
    • Recording depositions from medical professionals and other employees at a medical facility where malpractice has occurred
  • Qualifications

    • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active Florida Bar license.
    • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience practicing personal injury law with a focus on the plaintiff side as an attorney or as a law student.
    • In-depth understanding of key performance indicators and reporting metrics within a legal setting.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
    • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
    • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and foster a positive work environment.
    • Passion for helping others and a goal of first chair trial experience.
