Position Overview: The Grant and Organizational Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all grant agreements and organizational requirements. This role involves monitoring insurance and government agency filings, reviewing grant agreements, conducting compliance audits, and providing staff training.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring Dates and Renewals: Track and renew insurance policies, Monitor and renew filings with government agencies.
- Reviewing Grant Agreements: Analyze grant contracts to understand compliance requirements, reporting deadlines, and allowable expenditures., Develop compliance procedures, Monitor reporting, renewal, and application dates for all grants, Establish internal controls and processes for financial tracking, documentation, and reporting.
- Conducting Compliance Audits: Perform regular reviews of grant-funded projects to ensure adherence to grant terms, Verify proper documentation of expenditures, activities, and outcomes.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely reports to government agencies, insurance providers, and funders, Ensure compliance with reporting requirements and deadlines.
- Investigating Compliance Issues: Address potential non-compliance concerns, Conduct investigations and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Staff Training: Educate staff on grant compliance policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Maintaining Compliance Records: Document all grant-related activities, including approvals, expenditures, and communications with funders.
- Staying Updated on Regulations: Keep informed about changes in government agency and grant regulations and guidelines at federal, state, and donor levels.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex grant guidelines, identify potential risks, and analyze financial data.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in reviewing documents, tracking expenditures, and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication with internal staff, grantors, and auditors.
- Financial Management Expertise: Understanding of accounting principles and ability to analyze financial data related to government agency and grant projects.
- Project Management Skills: Ability to organize and manage multiple duties and grant projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Relevant Experience: At least five years of demonstrable experience in grant and organizational administrative compliance and monitoring, or auditing.
- Substantial Understanding: Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing reporting and filing for government agencies, insurance, and grant funding.
Salary and Benefits: The salary for this exempt, full-time position is $100,000 for the ideal candidate.
