Job Description

Printpack is seeking an HR Manager in Prescott Valley, AZ. The HR Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to plant leadership, supporting organizational goals, culture, and employee engagement.


This position will report to the HR Operations Manager.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or social sciences, or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 5 years of HR generalist experience, leading a team
  • HRCI/SHRM Certification desired

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience conducting employee relations discussions, conflict management, investigations, and coaching at all levels
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills to analyze situations and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations
  • Strong conflict resolution skills
  • Working knowledge of HR systems and procedures
  • Ability to thoroughly understand the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
  • Self-starter with the ability to independently prioritize the needs of the plant and the HR function
  • Trusted resource and talent coach to support plant leadership
  • Effective oral and written communication across multiple levels within the Organization
  • Proficient analytical skills to assess and analyze talent analytics
  • Business acumen
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing environment


Essential Functions:

  • Guide and advise leaders regarding employee matters including performance coaching, Performance Improvement Plans, Individual Development Plans, Talent Reviews, succession planning, merit planning, etc.
  • Manage complex employee relations issues, including conducting investigations, coaching managers, and the progressive discipline process
  • Provide guidance on workforce planning which may include organizational re-design work, job description creation and analysis, promotions, etc.
  • Plan and implement recruitment and selection efforts; educate hiring managers about the selection process; take proactive measures to ensure a diverse workforce and provide recommendations on hiring decisions
  • Lead the annual performance review process and coach managers on providing constructive feedback identifying high potential performers and coaching underperforming associates
  • Design and implement HR programs to support Printpack culture and support the engagement survey
  • Lead HR team to support aligned business units and be responsible for the guidance and professional development of team members
  • Strong Conflict Resolution Skills
