Contract Attorney

Location: Torrance, CA

Compensation: Up to $85 per hour

Job Type: Hybrid (2 Days Onsite), Full-Time, Contract-to-hire

LHH is working with a reputable law firm in seeking an experienced Contract Attorney to join their legal team in Torrance, CA. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience in civil litigation defense. This role offers a hybrid work environment, with two days onsite per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of consumer warranty and lemon law litigation cases.
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Conduct legal research and prepare comprehensive legal memoranda.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, mediations, and settlements.
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and opposing counsel to develop and execute effective litigation strategies.
• Ensure adherence to state and federal procedural rules and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in California.
• 4-5 years of experience in civil litigation defense.
• Strong understanding of state and federal court procedures.
• Proven ability to handle multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setting.
