Join the dynamic and innovative Complex Litigation Team at Manning Kass, where we tackle a diverse portfolio of high-stakes cases. This is a rare opportunity to work on challenging and impactful litigation matters, including catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims , complex liability disputes, and cutting-edge legal strategies across various industries.

As an associate on our team, you will work alongside seasoned litigators and industry-leading partners, engaging in every stage of litigation—from strategy development and discovery to mediation, arbitration, and trial. We are seeking a driven, intellectually curious attorney eager to make a difference for our clients while advancing their career within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of litigation, including case evaluation, discovery, and motion practice.
• Conduct and defend depositions of key witnesses, experts, and parties.
• Develop case strategy in partnership with senior attorneys, focusing on achieving client objectives efficiently and effectively.
• Proactively manage client communications, providing clear, consistent updates and advice throughout the litigation process.
• Contribute to trial preparation, including drafting trial briefs, assisting in jury selection, and supporting trial presentations.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
• Active membership in the California State Bar (in good standing).
• Minimum of 3+ years of litigation experience, with a preference for experience in complex or high-stakes cases.
• Exceptional legal writing, advocacy, and analytical skills.
• A proactive team player with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.

Company Offers

• Salary starting at $130,000 - $180,000 + bonus. Salary is commensurate with experience.
