We are a professional services firm, confidentially seeking an energetic and dynamic Human Resources Supervisor. This Human Resources Supervisor will serve in a generalist function and provide direct support for our dedicated employees, while collaborating with a focused management team to implement initiatives to meet the constantly evolving development goals of our people. About the Role

This position will have a hybrid work arrangement in San Francisco and is not a fully remote role. Applicants must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future and able to work onsite 2-3 days/week.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain an “open door policy” and contribute to leading a culture that is consistent with a “Best Places to Work” brand.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable trusted advisor to employees and act as a liaison for employees, local partners and managers in addressing employee relations matters.
  • Work with Talent Acquisition team to coordinate the successful onboarding of new joiners.
  • Monitor and manage welcoming programs for new joiners with legal team managers, including conducting Workday training.
  • Facilitate the identification of training needs as well as the delivery and tracking of job-specific and supervisory training leveraging the Talent Management team as appropriate.
  • Support the maintenance of our key HR data in the firm’s HRMS (Workday) and other systems as needed.
  • Create and distribute updates to Human Resources and related policies to employees on behalf of the management team.
  • Perform customer service functions by working with local leaders and HR leadership to address/refer employee questions or issues.
  • Processing new hire and termination paperwork and Workday onboarding/offboarding.
  • Review and approve Workday Time tracking records for some non-exempt staff.
  • Assist in the implementation and enforcement of office policies.
  • Respond to reference checks, employment verifications, and other requests for information.
  • Participate on bi-monthly HR Team calls.
  • Assess morale level, collect feedback and assist in maintaining a positive working environment.
  • Mitigate risk by resolving employee relations and conflict issues escalating situations to the HR Director and Office of General Counsel as appropriate.
  • Manage all facets of the day-to-day tactical Human Resources.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • HR Certification preferred (PHR, SHRM etc.).
  • 3-5 years of Human Resources generalist experience at a minimum.
  • Demonstrated experience with leading new hire and onboarding processes.
  • Experience in operational execution of all Human Resources functions.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State specific employment laws including FMLA, FLSA, State STD plans, Americans with disabilities act, etc.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with executive level management.
  • Entrepreneurial sensibility with a “can-do” attitude.


Pay range and compensation package

The salary range for this role takes into account many factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, work location, work arrangement, licensure and certifications, and applicable laws. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the factors noted.


A reasonable and good-faith estimate of the current salary range for individuals able to work in the office locally is:


$95,000 - $125,000
