Description of Responsibilities

As the Outlet Allocator you will be responsible for optimizing the flow of inventory from the Distribution Center to stores as well as the movement of inventory store to store. Ensuring the correct amount and accurate timing of stock by store to maximize sales. You will work closely with the Merchandising and Planning teams as well as the Visual and Field Leadership teams.


Overview of Critical Duties

  • Manage and maintain appropriate inventory levels for all Outlet retail locations and all product categories.
  • Monitor and execute weekly replenishment allocations based on sales trends, sales forecasts, promotional events, and overall business strategies.
  • Coordinate with Merchandising department to set up all styles for go forward seasons to effectively manage and allocate all initial allocations.
  • Reporting on and analyzing capacities, sales and inventory, weeks of supply, category, season, style, color, and size by store.
  • Collaborate with Logistics, Merchandising, and Planning teams on incoming and outgoing merchandise.
  • Execute store to store transfers throughout the season to balance inventory and manage capacity.
  • Execute and provide all Allocations reports to cross-functional team members.
  • Attend weekly, monthly, and seasonal meetings with cross-functional team members.
  • Attending store visits with cross-functional team members.


Background & Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong analytical acumen, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work independently while maintaining strong working relationships with others.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency within Microsoft Excel a must. (excel test will be conducted as part of the interview process)
  • Experience with Allocation systems such as JDA a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Merchandising and/or Planning & Allocation.


The appointed candidate will be offered an hourly rate within the range of USD $20.00- $28.00 based on experience, plus the opportunity for a bonus, a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and retirement plans with employer contributions. This position is based in our Giorgio Armani Corporate Office in NYC and requires in office presence.
