Our client, is an industrial contractor with revenues of over $75 million annually. They are growing, both organically and via acquisition. They are seeking to hire a Senior Financial Analyst to work 3 days in office, 2 from home, in their Elgin office.
Duties:
- Lead the development and management of the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasts, working closely with department heads and senior management to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Perform in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
- Create and maintain financial models to support decision-making across various business units.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports, including variance analysis, to provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Partner with business leaders to evaluate financial performance, assess risks, and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Assist in the preparation of long-term financial plans and scenario analysis to support strategic initiatives and corporate goals.
- Monitor key financial metrics, track performance against benchmarks, and provide insights to ensure the company is on track to meet its financial objectives.
- Analyze business performance and profitability by segment, region, or product line, and develop actionable strategies to drive efficiency and growth.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for board meetings, investor relations, and senior executives.
- Continuously improve FP&A processes and systems to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.
Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or a related field, with a strong focus on financial modeling and forecasting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI, financial modeling, and data analysis; experience with ERP systems and financial planning software (e.g., Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, key financial metrics, and financial reporting processes.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions, influence key stakeholders, and drive business results.
