Overview : Temp-To-Perm In-House Insurance Defense Attorney

Company: A leading casualty and property insurance company

Experience: At least six years of insurance defense litigation experience.

Location: Candidates need to be based in the following areas:

• Woodland Hills
• Fresno
• Sacramento (to cover Roseville)
• San Francisco/Bay Area (to cover Dublin)

Responsibilities:

• Handle all phases of pre-litigation and litigation activity on insurance defense matters, including fact and expert investigation and analysis, pleading practice, formal discovery, motion practice, expert discovery, formal and informal mediation/settlement practice, trial preparation and trial.
• Advise the Company on all legal issues and legal strategy considerations relating to the litigated and non-litigated insurance defense matters.
• Demonstrate consistent awareness and strategic input on changes to the law, technology, local rules and other procedural requirements, or other aspects of the legal and insurance industries likely to impact liability litigation.

Background:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and member in good standing of the State Bar of California required.
• 6+ Years of combined training/experience litigating insurance defense matters in either an in-house or external law firm setting.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills as well as possessing strong quantitative, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Valid CA Driver License required.

Pay Rate:

Pay: $90/hour
