Job Description

Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for an Interim Counsel, Commercial Contracts (Atlanta, Hybrid 3-days). This is a long term contract that will last 4-6+ months and is full time 40 hours per week.


Overview: Our client is seeking a full-time Interim Counsel, Commercial Contracts (Atlanta, Hybrid 3-days).


Company: Water Product Technology Company in Dunwoody/Sandy Springs, Georgia


Experience: Successful candidate will have a minimum of 6-12 years of relevant legal experience working with specific emphasis on contract negotiation, outsourcing and technology transactions, and analysis and management of contractual risk. Data Privacy experience.


Location: Dunwoody/Sandy Springs, Georgia (3-days per week in office)


Responsibilities Include:

  • Draft, negotiate and close a wide variety of complex national and outsourcing contracts with existing and prospective clients, strategic partners, and vendors under limited supervision.
  • Serves as a primary organizational contact during contract negotiations.
  • Reviews, drafts, revises, negotiates, and manages software subscription and licensing contracts, SOWs, amendments, business associate agreements, data transfer agreements, vendor agreements, NDAs, and other commercial agreements.
  • Review and respond to complex RFP’s and T&C’s.


Qualifications Include:

  • Successful candidate will have a minimum of 6-12 years of relevant legal experience. Law firm and/or in house experience, with specific emphasis on contract negotiation, outsourcing and technology transactions, and analysis and management of contractual risk. Data Privacy experience.
  • Superb legal drafting skills, with affinity for using language to achieve compromise.
  • Meticulous attention to detail is crucial.
  • Proven ability to provide entrepreneurial, quick-thinking, pragmatic, business-oriented advice and to make clear recommendations that appropriately balance risks and business reward.
  • Strong organization and project management skills, with experience in successfully tracking and managing contracting projects through to signature in collaboration with multiple functional areas.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment with the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously, under deadline pressure and with limited supervision.
  • Licensed to practice in Georgia.
  • Can work independently, but also a team player.
