Manufacturing Engineer
The Manufacturing Engineer will develop and implement manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. The position will recommend and implement improvements to production processes and methods. It will also coordinate manufacturing launch for new or revised products.
Responsibilities:
- Development of manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods and production equipment.
- Must be able to understand and interpret complex part drawings and understand product design intent.
- Coordinates the manufacturing launch of new/revised products, including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
- Use appropriate project management techniques to insure tools, gauges, fixtures, equipment, routings and CMM/CNC programs are fully defined, documented and implemented.
- Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency improvement.
- Represents manufacturing on cross-functional teams.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree (BSME) or equivalent
- 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with CNC programming / machining (Mastercam experience ideal)
- Strong understanding of lean principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
- SolidWorks and/or CAM knowledge is a plus
- CMM programming & PC-DMIS is a plus
