Job Description

Are you someone who loves working with Lasers and optical systems? We are seeking a skilled and motivated Laser Process Engineer to join our team and help drive innovation in laser materials processing.


In this role, you will work on cutting-edge optical systems, conducting experiments, analyzing data, and optimizing designs to support the development of next generation industrial semiconductor manufacturing equipment. If you are passionate about lasers, optics, and working in a dynamic, interdisciplinary team, this is the perfect opportunity for you!



Responsibilities:


  • Set up, operate, and maintain laser materials processing systems and procedures.
  • Perform hands-on experiments to explore and characterize physical phenomena in innovative optical systems.
  • Analyze experimental data and leverage simulations to recommend design enhancements.
  • Establish connections between design parameters and observed performance outcomes.
  • Interpret experimental findings and align them with fundamental principles through analytical or numerical simulations.
  • Compile and present experimental results effectively to team members.
  • Collaborate within a team to support the development and implementation of advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment.


Qualifications:


  • Masters Degree or PhD in Physics, Applied Physics, Optics, or Material Science.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the development and experimental application of optical or laser devices and systems.
  • Solid understanding of optical physics and laser materials processing.
  • Proficient in aligning and testing lasers and optical devices.
  • A knack for interpreting experimental data.
  • Experience with free-space optics and data analysis.
  • Great communication skills and a team-first attitude.
  • Experience working with semiconductor materials or designing optical systems.
  • Familiarity with optical simulation tools like ray tracing software.
  • Knowledge of fiber optics.
  • Programming skills in MATLAB or Python to automate instruments and crunch data.
