Exec Sous & Sous Chefs – Expanding Chef-Driven Group
Small Southbay chef-driven group is expanding and looking for talented Sous and Exec Sous level chefs to join their longstanding stable team. Seeking passionate individuals excited to work in a notable growing group with accomplished leadership in place!
Executive Sous Chef / Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Ensure all food meets the highest standards of quality and consistency
- Provide exemplary leadership to the team including training of culinary team members
- Maintain proper ordering, inventory and scheduling
Follow best practices for safety and sanitation in the kitchen
Assist culinary leadership in tasks outlined above, but not limited to exclusively this list
Executive Sous Chef / Sous Chef Preferred Requirements:
Exec Sous Chef: 2+ years of experience as a Chef de Cuisine, Exec Sous Chef, Head Chef or Sr. Sous Chef OR 4 years experience as a Sous Chef
- Sous Chef: 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager, Kitchen Supervisor, Jr. Sous or similar role
Experience in scratch chef-driven concepts
- Love for unique, quality, locally sourced ingredients
Solid track record of staying in jobs for several years
- Exceptional standards for cleanliness, health, and safety
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, and on holidays
Compensation / Benefits:
- Hourly equivalent of a base salary in the range of $70-85k based on a 50 hour work week
