Senior Associate – Loan Services (Chicago, IL)

A financial services firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its Loan Services team, focusing on commercial loan servicing, particularly in real estate. This role involves managing client deliverables, ensuring timely reporting, processing financial transactions, and reconciling accounts. Responsibilities also include onboarding new clients, improving operational efficiencies, and assisting with training junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage client deliverables and meet agreed-upon deadlines.
• Prepare and distribute monthly reports related to loan servicing and reconciliations.
• Handle distributions, escrow payments, and account reconciliation.
• Assist with onboarding new clients, including KYC documentation and account setup.
• Identify process improvements and manage special projects.
• Support team members, train junior staff, and provide coverage as needed.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or economics (or equivalent experience).

Experience in commercial loan servicing or operations, client management, and customer service.

Proficiency in loan servicing platforms and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Bloomberg is a plus.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, work collaboratively, and communicate effectively.
