Onsite in New Hudson, MI
Electronics Quality Technician position to perform inspections of electrical harnesses and other electronic components in support of programs throughout the phases of our product development lifecycle from prototype through low-volume production in an ISO 9001 certified engineering and manufacturing environment. A successful Electronics Quality Technician will work with the manufacturing and engineering teams to provide the inspections and data needed to support their programs. In addition to the internal team, this position may interact with external suppliers to communicate quality issues, determine root cause, and verify corrective actions have been implemented.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & SKILLS:
Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to all of the following:
? Perform incoming, in-process, and end of line inspections as required
? Read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, specifications, and other controlled documentation
? Identify, document, and resolve test anomalies and pursue corrective action as required
? Independently perform verifications, and document results in a clear, precise, and complete manner
? Propose, develop, and implement quality policies and procedures working with the Quality, Electronics Lab, and Electronics & Controls Engineering Teams
? Interface with engineering and production to resolve nonconforming material issues
? Examine incoming parts and documentation to confirm correct specifications and established standards are met
? Interface with suppliers to communicate quality issues, determine root cause, and verify corrective actions have been implemented
? Communicate in a professional manner, both verbally and written
? Proficient with Windows based computers and MS software such as Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word
? Experience With VeSys Preferred
? Able to perform in a dynamic and fast paced environment
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
? Minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalent required
? 3+ years of work experience in a defense or aerospace manufacturing environment in electronics quality/inspection or as harness assembler
? Wire harness experience in accordance with IPC-A-620 standard (certification preferred)
? Experience inspecting solder, crimping, conformal coating, staking, and surface mounted devices accordance with IPC-A-610 standard
? Experience with performing electronic testing and inspection using portable measuring devices
? Experienced using Cirris cable testing system (or similar)
? Solid foundational knowledge of electrical systems and manufacturing processes
? Knowledge of the control of nonconforming hardware, failure/root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action processes
? Ability to read engineering drawings
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
? Position requires occasional moderate physical activity
? Moving and maneuvering heavy objects may be required at times
EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
? 7:30 AM start time, Monday-Friday
? 40-hour standard work week with overtime paid as worked when required
? Must be flexible with schedule to accommodate fixed deadlines sometimes working longer hours, Saturdays, and/or Sundays
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
? Combination of electronics lab and manufacturing areas
? Travel may be required between facilities
? Stress may occur periodically
