Job Description: OBGYN Services PC is seeking an experienced certified nurse midwife to join our large and thriving private practice in Norwich, CT. Over the past 50 years, we've delivered excellent care to generations of southeastern CT women, and we'd love to have you become a part of that tradition. Our current team consists of 7 obstetrician/gynecologists, 4 certified nurse midwives, and 3 women's health nurse practitioners. We are dedicated to providing high-quality, evidence-based, compassionate and conscientious care. Our providers get along uniquely well, and practice excellent medicine while respecting the need for a balanced professional and personal life. We deliver at Backus hospital in Norwich, which is affiliated with Hartford Healthcare. Norwich is a suburban community of approximately 40,000 people--diverse, and served by excellent public and private schools. Southeastern CT's natural riches include beautiful parks, woods, lakes and coastal beaches. Boston and NYC are 2 and 2.5 hours away. Hartford, Providence, and New Haven are within an hour. We average 850 deliveries a year. Midwives are an integral part of our group and practice full-scope, alongside our physicians. Physician backup is readily available during overnight call, which is 1:5. Our current midwives also provide gynecologic care, maintaining provider-patient relationships after the postpartum. The group has a friendly, collaborative relationship with MFM, Urogyn, GynOnc and REI colleagues. Ultrasound is available at both our OB and Gyn offices.
