Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Industrial division, this position has primary HR leadership responsibility for operations in the USA, Canada and India. The division headcount is about 400 employees in North America and 100 in India. This position plays an HR strategic business partner role with the management team of the division by providing value added HR services to achieve business plan objectives. In this position, you supervise an international team of 9. You participate to global projects with the global HR Team where your experience and competencies can make a relevant and effective contribution. As a senior member of the HR team, you will collaborate closely with the VPHR, located in Canada.


Key Areas of Responsibilities

Ensure exceptional HR service to employees and managers.

Is responsible for the complete administration of payroll, benefits and 401k Plan for all employees in the USA (two distinct divisions, close to 500 American employees in total)

Leads talent management activities with focus on recruitment, development plans and training as well as succession management.

Plays a leadership role in facilitating key HR processes, such as performance management and salary review

Coach and advise managers on matters related to human resource issues, including legal counsel, communications and change management

Provides HR strategic advice to senior managers and SVP in order to enhance divisional performance.

Support managers in pulse survey monitoring and action plans

Facilitates a variety of consultations with employees, support team building activities and provide individual coaching where required

Supervises H&S Specialist

Actively participates in Mergers and Acquisitions HR processes

Plays an active role in ESG initiatives and work in collaboration with the EHS Manager.


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, preferably in HR Management and SHRM Certified Professional (PHR) designation required

  • 10-15 years of relevant work experience, including numerous years of management of professional HR staff
