Job Title: Supply Chain Engineer
Job Description: The Supply Chain Optimization Engineer is responsible for developing, analyzing, and optimizing supply chain models to improve overall supply chain performance. This role requires expertise in supply chain processes, data analysis, and modeling to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop supply chain network models for logistics, inventory, and distribution strategies.
- Analyze and interpret supply chain data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Use advanced modeling tools to optimize network design, including facility locations, transportation routes, and inventory levels.
- Conduct scenario planning to assess the impact of different supply chain strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (procurement, logistics, production) to integrate their needs into models.
- Project future warehouse space requirements (5-10 years).
- Prepare reports and presentations on model results, recommendations, and cost-benefit analyses.
- Continuously improve modeling processes and tools, staying up-to-date with industry trends.
- Collaborate with IT teams for system integration of modeling tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Proven experience in supply chain modeling, network design, or similar analytical roles.
- Proficiency in supply chain modeling tools (e.g., Cosmic Frog, Llamasoft, AnyLogic, IBM LogicNet).
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, Power BI).
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects independently.
