Event Sales Manager  

Reports to: Director of Sales  

Classification: Full-Time/Exempt

The Sales Manager for Private Events will be responsible for driving new business, managing relationships with current clients, and overseeing the sales cycle from initial inquiry to final execution of events. This position requires a highly organized, customer-focused individual with a passion for event planning, sales, and delivering top-tier service.  

 

Essential Functions  

 

  • Maintain current client and prospect database; manage existing clients for retention and growth, prospect consistently to develop new business 
  • Develop and maintain a clear working knowledge of systems and processes needed to properly identify “good fit” clients, close and hand off for proper execution 
  • Manage all events for assigned locations 
  • Provide timely and accurate information to clients and internal team including event contracts, sales reports, and communication 
  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with the operational team  
  • Clearly communicate pricing, services, contract and payment terms based on protocol 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with event planners, city event teams and organizations to increase awareness of private events and location offerings 
  • Ensure accuracy and delivery of all required reports (BEOs, leads, event calendars, forecasting, sales revenue reports, etc.) are distributed in a timely manner for proper planning and event execution  
  • Uplift brand standards and culture for in-unit team members in partnership with the Marketing and Ops teams 
  • Meet sales revenue goals  
  • Develop new business through prospecting and lead programs 
  • Represent the Woody’s brand in a professional manner  
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. 

 

Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field or equivalent number of years of experience. 
  • 2+ years of event sales and planning preferably within the restaurant, bar or entertainment industry 
  • Strategic thinker who can excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 
  • Demonstrated experience relationship builder both internally and externally. 
  • Communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. 
  • Detail oriented with great time management skills 
  • Experience with Sales Force a plus 
  • Strong interpersonal and sales skills 
  • Independently motivated to win 
  • Ability to adapt to change and pivot 
  • Must have reliable transportation and flexibility to work nights and or weekends
