Material, Planning and Logistics Analyst Expectations/Job Description
- Total ownership of material: raw material, components, labels for production needs. Ensure ordering, tracking & tracing and supplier follow up.
- Making sure that all suppliers have updated and correct releases daily
- Making sure suppliers are up to date on releases and shipping to the release QTY (no more or less)
- Follow up with suppliers who are behind schedule, understand the behind condition, request and support their recovery plan to minimize impact to production.
- Escalate to corporate purchasing if needed.
- Escalate all supplier shortages to MPL manager
- Coordinate with scheduler for material needed, runout time and impact to the production line
- Coordinate expedite freight from suppliers if needed and add to tracker
- Follow up with suppliers who are shipping additional material and do corrective actions
- Follow up with suppliers who are not following TMD’s shipping specifications
- Coordinate with QC department for RMAs and supplier quality issues
- Ensure components inventory levels are accurate and make suggestions for parameter adjustments based on volume/inventory/ transit time/ lead time
- Cycle count components and resin
- Create min max levels for components and resin
- Coordinate with warehouse supervisor and follow layout
- Ensure components are stored properly and follow FIFO
- Create labels for shelves and continuous improvement for material storage
- New program tracking and tracking. International orders and organization of files
- Huge sense of urgency and follow up needed
Minimum Requirement:
Automotive and/or logistics experience (3 years)
Experience working in purchasing preferably high volume
Familiar ERP systems, adjustments, entries.
Familiar with MRP (material requirements planning).
HS diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
High sense of urgency and follow up, critical thinker, detailed oriented.
