We are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our sheet metal facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production of high-quality sheet metal products. This role involves collaborating with various departments to improve production methods, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for sheet metal products, ensuring efficiency and quality.
• Provide technical guidance and support to production teams, troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Coordinate the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment, ensuring operational efficiency.
• Perform material selection and cost analysis for projects to optimize production costs.
• Work closely with design, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless production workflows.
• Develop and document manufacturing processes, best practices, and standard operating procedures.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in sheet metal engineering and technology, and apply this knowledge to improve manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in a sheet metal facility.
• Proficiency in CAD software, CNC machinery, and other relevant manufacturing technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex manufacturing issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• High level of attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations related to sheet metal manufacturing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions

This position is based in a sheet metal manufacturing facility and may require occasional travel to supplier or customer sites. The role involves working in a production environment, which may include exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
