Job Description

Aegis Worldwide is seeking a Plant Accountant to lead and manage financial operations across manufacturing facilities in Franklin, IN, and Napoleon, OH. This hands-on position involves overseeing general ledger accounting, month-end close, forecasting, compliance monitoring, and providing actionable financial insights. The ideal candidate will balance detailed task execution with strategic leadership, driving cost savings and system improvements while ensuring financial integrity.


Key Responsibilities:

  • General Ledger Accounting: Manage all aspects of month-end close, including journal entries, variance analysis, and report preparation.
  • Forecasting & Budgeting: Prepare weekly financial forecasts and annual budgets to support operational goals.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to SOX and internal control requirements with proper documentation.
  • Fixed Asset Management: Handle capital requests, CIP management, and conduct annual audits of fixed assets.
  • Reconciliations & Reporting: Perform balance sheet reconciliations and provide financial insights to stakeholders.
  • Accounts Payable & Transfers: Resolve AP invoices, process check requests, and manage intercompany transfers.
  • Tax Filings: Prepare and submit monthly sales and use tax returns and other required filings.
  • Inventory Oversight: Conduct inventory audits, monitor cycle counts, and manage HFI/OSM inventory reviews.
  • Policy Compliance: Ensure plant personnel comply with company policies and maintain accurate financial records.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required. CPA, CMA, or MBA credentials are a plus.
  • Experience: 3–5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills:
  • Deep understanding of plant financial statements and operations.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial systems such as Excel, SAP, and BPC, along with Word and PowerPoint.
