STRUCTURAL ESTIMATOR:
The Structural Estimator is responsible for appropriately evaluating the cost of a project, and evaluating the cost to take on that project. The candidate will be familiar with our competitive advantages as an organization and will be able to communicate those to our benefit throughout the bidding process. The Structural Estimator will also provide on-going estimate support to ongoing projects.
Responsibilities
- Maintain knowledge of competitive advantages in the industry to aid bidding process
- Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- Reviewing construction documents in order to a have a strong understanding of the project
- Obtain accurate quotes for materials and systems to establish accurate cost estimates
- Request subcontractors to participate providing proposals in a timely manner
- Complete Quantity Take-off
- Create a detailed cost estimate based on the scope of work
- Create Bids and Proposals with detailed scope of work
- Provide cost changes thru out the construction process of projects
- Participate Training and/or Certifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Accounting and/or equivalent experience
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, OST, and/or PlanSwift
- 3 - 6 years' of working as a construction estimator
- Complete proficiency in reading Architectural and Structural Construction Documents
- Candidate must organized, self starter and detailed oriented, with the sense of urgency and the ability to multi task.
