APCO has an exciting opportunity for a full time Graphic Designer in our control and automation consulting firm and its related businesses. We are looking for candidates who are self-driven, problem solvers, and able to work effectively with others. The successful candidate will be able to support the needs of our organization regarding development of marketing and training material, as well as content for our website and other outward facing platforms. The selected candidate will work as part of our business development group and support that group in their objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong creative skills and a portfolio of work which demonstrates their passion for illustrative design and typography. This candidate will have experiences in working with numerous different design platforms such as digital and print forms. 

Responsibilities

• Maintain brand consistency and material quality across all design assets.
• Develop concepts and designs for marketing material, training material, professional conferences, client outreach, and recruiting events.  
• Collaborate closely with the business development group to strengthen the recognition and reputation of APCO amongst existing and potential clients.
• Develop and publish digital and physically printed media to be used for marketing, ensuring quality and consistency across platforms and mediums.
• Stay up to date with design trends and innovations, particularly in our industry.
• Manage timelines of various design projects and their various deadlines (i.e. submission deadlines, conference dates, client meetings, etc.).
• Work with APCO technical staff to develop writeups for marketing materials (such as blog posts, project summaries/highlights, presentations, company newsletter, etc.).
• Lead efforts at APCO to strengthen our perception through the use of good design principles in our digital and printed material.
• Manage APCO’s online presence on various platforms (i.e. LinkedIn, company website, vendor marketing accounts, etc.)

Qualifications

• A Graphic Design or relevant degree from an accredited college or university (or equivalent experience)
• Demonstrate strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Technical writing skills
• Expertise with design-related software (such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Sketch, etc.)
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong communication, conceptual thinking, typography skills and design skills
• Portfolio of work
