BRANCH MANAGER
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
To provide the highest level of Customer Service in the industry through prompt, competitive rate quotes, complete and accurate and timely bookings, and a high degree of professional communication skills.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Plan, direct, implement and control all operations activities within the geographic region on a day-to-day basis, directing all operational activities to assist sales revenue and direct cost optimization with the objective of maximizing the profitability of the business
• Manage the work staff ensuring the team meets its daily requirements through correctly
assigning individuals to tasks for LCL and FCL services.
• Participate in the review and evaluation process in accordance with the annual budget guidelines
• Establish and maintain procedures to ensure we operate safely and in compliance with all regulations of any variety, including FMC regulations, safe IMCO regulations and employee hazardous training.
• Manage KPIs as productivity and quality guidelines are established which ensure that our
customers are consistently receiving improved levels of service
• In conjunction with the Sales and Regional management, establish department procedures for the business focused on broadening our market bases, penetrating sectors where our market share is weak or eroding, and identifying other opportunities for the development of our business.
• Identify, close on, and cultivate new accounts that have import and export ocean freight business,
specifically developing relationships with the local AAA and AA customer base in the territory.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• High School degree is required; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Three years’ ocean transportation experience required; Five years of management experience required
• Basic-level knowledge In Microsoft Office applications is required.
• An analytical mind with strong attention to detail.
• Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
