JOB SUMMARY

The FP&A Analyst  will be responsible for driving the financial planning, analysis, and forecasting processes within the organization. This individual will work closely with senior leadership to evaluate financial performance, develop strategic initiatives, and provide actionable insights to inform decision-making. The FP&A Analyst will also oversee budgeting, variance analysis, and financial modeling, ensuring the financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to support the company’s growth objectives.


DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Develop and maintain a fully integrated set of financials (IS, BS, CF) with variables and drivers easily managed and updated regularly
  • Perform variance analysis to identify key trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations to senior management
  • Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and support decision-making on strategic initiatives and operational efficiencies
  • Prepare and present regular financial performance reports to senior leadership, providing a clear and concise narrative on results
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track progress against business goals
  • Support the CFO in developing long-term financial plans and strategies to optimize profitability and growth
  • Maintain and improve financial forecasting and reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of data
  • Assist in acquisition due diligence and post-acquisition integration processes
  • Lead ad hoc financial analysis and special projects to drive business performance and improve operational outcomes
  • Support in the development and implementation of financial systems, tools, and processes to improve efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-year Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance from an accredited college or university
  • MBA, CFA, or other relevant advanced degrees or certifications are a plus
  • A minimum of 5 years’ professional experience in FP&A or financial analysis, prior experience in a SaaS business model
  • Fluency in SaaS business model and metrics
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Experience with financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, Adaptive Insights, or similar software)
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, including advanced formulae and data manipulation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments, preferably within a private equity-backed or tech-focused company
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor a small team of financial analysts


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is primarily sedentary in nature due to the office responsibilities. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. On occasion, the employee must be able to lift 20 lbs.
