We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic Team. Key Responsibilities :
- General Ledger Management : Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
- Budgeting and Forecasting : Partner with leadership to develop, monitor, and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable Oversight : Oversee the timely processing and reconciliation of accounts payable and receivable. Participate in the receivable collection process.
- Audit Preparation : Support internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Regulatory Compliance : Ensure adherence to state and federal regulations and taxation requirements.
- Cost Accounting : Track and report on costs associated with capital projects, operational expenses, and maintenance activities.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA certification preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with cost accounting and budget management is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards in the electric or utility industry is a plus.
