Skills Required:
- Have experience as a Field Support Engineer or Product Support Engineer for a semiconductor equipment company's, tools.
- Be experienced/adept with helium leak checking
- Have a strong electro-mechanical work/troubleshooting background
- Be able to work with minimal supervision from schematics, P&IDs, signal lists, and procedures
- Able to learn and utilize specialized applications needed to perform tasks
- Good written and oral English communication skills - other languages may be a plus for world wide support
- Have good decision making skills
- Thrive in a new product group lab – think start-up atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development of a new product by modifying and maintaining prototype equipment and help develop procedures and documentation as needed in support of design and R&D activities which likely have little or no written procedures.
- Responsible for preventative/corrective maintenance, trouble shooting, upgrades, and calibration on equipment in the applications lab.
- Requires work using required Personal Protective Equipment which may include APR (Air Purifying Respirator) and/or SCBA (Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus) for safe handling of hazardous materials. Must be able to meet requirements for certification.
- Works closely with and supports the Productivity, Process Development, Engineering, and R&D groups’ activities.
- Support tool installs, retrofits, and documentation efforts.
- Occasionally may help train Field Service Engineers, Engineering Technicians, other Laboratory Service Engineers, or Process Engineers from regional accounts.
