Position Summary:
To perform the Quality Engineering functions necessary to support the Company’s objectives in providing its’ customers with high-quality products.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field. MS is a plus
- 5-10 years experience in all or a combination of Quality Systems, Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality Assistance, and Customer Support role(s) preferably in the automotive industry.
- ASQ Certified, IATF/VDA Auditor.
- Effective reading and writing skills.

- Ability to manage projects independently and set priorities as it relates to the importance of supporting the organization’s bottom line.
- Experience in an Advanced Manufacturing Environment with Foundry knowledge is a plus.
- IATF 16949, and use of APQP tools such as Control Plans, Failure Modes Effect Analysis (FMEA), & SPC.
- Advanced Problem-Solving and Root Cause Analysis skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to effectively work cross-functionally with Program Mgt., Purchasing, Engineering, Operations is a must.
- Six Sigma Black Belt (Plus)
- Proficient in Core Quality Tools - APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC.
- Problem Solving tools such as 8D, 5 Why, Cause and Effect, etc.
- Data collection and statistical analysis; Minitab preferred.
- Knowledge of processes used in manufacturing facility, customer facilities, and supplier facilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), and Minitab a must.
Areas of Responsibilities:
- Attend all new product launch review meetings and ensure high-quality PPAP deliverables are provided by the teams.
- Assist plants in the development of quality systems to achieve IATF16949 and various other customer requirements such as Ford’s Q1, Chrysler’s EBSC, GM’s BIQS
- Participate in audits of new and existing Aludyne plants. Will conduct audits, evaluate performance, and give guidance and recommendations.
- Monitor Customer’s Portals, and coach/assist plants for prompt follow-up with on-time response and concern closure for optimum rating standings. Will assist customers in resolving high-level product plant quality issues causing customer disruptions.
- Identify best practices within the plants and develop corporate quality standards that incorporate lessons learned and read across.
- Employees are expected to work onsite to attend in-person meetings and collaborate.
- Follow the Safety, Health, and Environmental Program as reflected in the SHE Policy Statement
- Adhere to the Quality Management System (QMS) and the Quality Policy

Decisions Making Scope/Supervisory Responsibility:
Responsible for the evaluation, benchmarking, improvement, design, development, and standardization of Aludyne plant quality systems. Successful candidates for this position will possess strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills; demonstrate an acute attention to detail, and show strength in researching and analyzing data.
