We are seeking a detail-oriented Chemical Engineer to join our dynamic R&D laboratory team. This role focuses on analytical chemistry and requires precision work with ion chromatography in a collaborative team environment.
Chemical Engineer - Research & Development Laboratory
Location: Sullivan Park (100% On-site)
Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Contract Duration : 10+ months with potential for extension or full-time conversion
Interview Process
- Initial phone screen with manager and team lead
- On-site panel interview
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze samples using ion chromatography equipment and pH meters
- Conduct pH testing of nitrates and salt samples
- Provide critical analytical results for R&D project groups
- Document all activities in online systems
- Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and external vendors
- Support time-sensitive research projects with high accuracy requirements
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency with laboratory equipment and safety protocols
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience with online documentation systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in ION analysis and ion chromatography
- Previous laboratory experience
- Experience with pH testing and sample preparation
