We’re supporting our client, a leading global manufacturer based in Irwindale, California who are looking for an Operations Engineering Manager to join their growing team.
The successful Operations Engineering Manager will have a minimum BS in Electrical Engineering, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or similar field, as well as management experience.
Responsibilities
- Strengthen and sustain a support + services organization to meet current and future manufacturing value chain requirements.
- Ensure production mechanics are seamless and efficient to retain competitive advantage.
- Lead & develop people through active leadership, development plans, performance management and training matrices while living collective accountability.
- Develop & deliver fair, accurate and meaningful employee performance reviews.
- Coordinate efforts for process improvements and implement engineering solutions to enhance operational efficiencies.
- Improve company and department performance through Operational Excellence/LEAN/Kaizen principles, methods, modules and elements. As well as CAPEX for new or existing equipment to increase capacity and/or improve effectiveness.
- Ensure a safe, organized, and clean working environment, emphasizing prevention of potential problems and hazardous conditions by supporting safety initiatives. Follow 5S & Ergonomic methodology.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, quality, compliance, supply chain, etc.) to align engineering efforts. Contribute to cross-functional monthly Goal Meeting (WIGs), Daily Management and Gemba to cross-functional execution while tracking daily performance through the use +QDIP goals on a daily basis. Ensuring when a miss occurs, a root cause analysis and counter measures are identified, executed and validated for effectiveness.
- Responsible for assigned team’s adherence to company policies and procedures. Recognize, reward and performance manage as appropriate
- Complete Role Standard Work and deliver all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Minimum BS in Electrical Engineering, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or similar field with 10+ years relevant experience and 5+ years of management experience.
