Be part of a brand new fast-paced chaotic fine dining restaurant in the East Village.
You’ll lead a small staff of 3 in building innovative and playful 6-course tasting menus for a communal table of 12
This is a full-time position and service is currently Wednesday - Saturday from 5:30pm-10:30pm.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation and planning of tasting menus (outside of our standard experience, we do pop-ups and themed events)
- Ensuring that the kitchen operates in a timely manner (seatings are 75 minutes in length and need to be executed flawlessly!)
- Ordering new supplies and food along with the Sous Chef
- Our atmosphere is fun! Your responsibility is to have fun while keeping it professional
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5+ years’ experience in a direct titled Executive Chef, Sous Chef
- Fine Dining Experience Attention to detail
- Motivated and self-directed
- Pride in service and constant desire to innovative with new concepts
- Tactful and clear communication
- Excellent time management
- Teamwork-oriented with a positive attitude
- Strong knowledge of various cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices
Physical Aspects of the Executive Chef Role:
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
