Position Summary:The Registered Nurse - Surgery provides expert post-operative care for patients recovering from inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures, including trauma, ICU, and pediatric cases. This role requires critical care expertise, adaptability, and seamless collaboration in a dynamic surgical environment to ensure superior patient outcomes.Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized care to patients post-surgery, including trauma, ICU, and pediatric cases.Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and manage pain effectively.Collaborate with surgical teams to address patient needs promptly and effectively.Provide patient and family education on post-surgical care and recovery.Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare protocols.Float between PPU, Roseview SDS, Tahoe PACU, or pre-op areas as needed.Experience & Requirements: Experience: ICU or ER experience with PACU exposure; pediatric and trauma experience preferred.Certifications: Active RN license.Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).Surgical Specialties: Orthopedic, GI/GU, gastric sleeves, TAVR, neurosurgery, and more.1301 Wonder World Drive, San Marcos, TX 78666
