JOB PURPOSE:
The Sales Director, Central North Region has responsibility and accountability for maintaining strategic relationships within the assigned region over various sales verticals, including but not limited to; Corporate, Higher Education, K-12, Government, and Healthcare. This position will collaborate with independent sales partners to enable the creation and tracking of sales opportunities through our dealer network, end-user base, and A&D firms, as well as generating direct sales through personal efforts.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support and collaborate with independent sales partners to develop a sales pipeline and execute tactical initiatives in the marketplace.
- Drive sales by developing relationships with key large local and regional customers; i.e, Designers (A&D), Dealers, General Contractors, and Glaziers, across all vertical markets.
- Travel regularly to regional markets to work with Sales Partners and interface with customers.
- Maintain keen regional market awareness and voice of customer.
- Provide weekly call report based on market activity to gage how the market is performing.
- Conduct product training by presenting new and existing products to Sales Partners and customer base.
- Maintain Sales Partner and personal sales activity through CRM.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development or sales-related activities; experience in the commercial furniture or similar industry strongly preferred.
- Experience leading and managing independent sales partners with the ability to gain and ensure mindshare with them.
- Experience calling on a wide range of markets, such as Corporate, Education, Government and/or Healthcare, facilities, preferably for premium product offerings; ability to establish relationships in vertical related business.
- Proven track record in business development with demonstrated ability to self-motivate and work autonomously, under management direction.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong presentation skills.
- Ability to create regular sales reports to present to executive management.
- Strong skills in MS Office Suite – Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and experience working with a CRM system required.
