Position Overview

As Baby2Baby has entered a stage of significant opportunity and growth, we seek a dynamic, creative, and entrepreneurial professional who can help support our COO with an eye towards increasing efficiency and productivity.

Reporting to the COO, the Director of Operationswill act as a right-hand to the COO by helping to streamline and project manage strategic initiatives and communicate objectives and necessary deliverables across departments. This individual will be a behind-the-scenes leader helping to support the day-to-day rhythm of our COO and ensuring that key projects are moving forward in a timely manner.

This Director of Operations will work Monday-Friday at 5830 W. Jefferson Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90016. The work is performed in an office setting and is currently in office a minimum of three days per week.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supports strategic business initiatives, from ideation through successful execution, under the guidance of the COO; collaborates and assists COO in the development of our strategic plan.
  • Improves current processes and optimizes organization procedures for efficiency and productivity pertaining to B2B’s operations and everything under COO’s oversight.
  • Plays a key role in the annual gala supporting the COO and liaising between the various stakeholders.
  • Supports project management of the capital campaign and building purchase, ensuring all aspects are moving forward, being communicated and tracked.
  • Supports and acts as a thought partner for the funding of various government projects including our program with Health and Human Services
  • Supports the COO with the planning and execution of all board and executive board meetings; gathers and compiles information as needed from various departments and helps prepare and make edits to the presentation deck.
  • Completes special projects and initiatives; serves as a liaison with staff, executives, senior leaders and external stakeholders regarding project updates, proposals and planning.
  • Acts as the COO’s personal timekeeper; helps prioritize time and tasks.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree. MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in a business management or development role.
  • Proven track record in a similar role, with a knack for operational excellence and strategic thinking.
  • Ability to work under pressure, communicate effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Fast learner, detail-oriented, and demonstrated ability to manage multiple demands (independently and as part of a team) across various projects and issue areas.
  • Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives.
  • Proven success in a project management role.
  • Exceptional client and customer service skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with proven ability to tell a compelling story.
  • Well-developed team skills and flexibility.
  • Strong organizational and collaboration abilities with a focus on interdepartmental communication.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, confident, and creative.
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
