Vice President of Operations

Our client, located in North Houston is seeking a Vice President of Operations to join their team.
POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Vice President of Operations will lead the operational functions, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and scalable operations. This role is essential for managing field resources and assets effectively to drive business growth, enhance operational capacity, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Develop and oversee a comprehensive strategy for asset management.
  2. Create and implement operational strategies that align with the company?s growth, competitive edge, and market expansion goals.
  3. Build and lead high-performing teams, providing mentorship, coaching, and opportunities for professional development.
  4. Establish and manage field operations processes and procedures.
  5. Oversee capital expenditure (capex) and operational budget planning, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.
  6. Monitor and manage the financial performance of assets and resource utilization.
  7. Ensure proper and consistent documentation of assets and field operations.
  8. Collaborate with the commercial team to create accurate capital expenditure (capex) and operational expenditure (opex) forecasts.
  9. Lead both direct and indirect teams to ensure the fulfillment of all contract requirements.
  10. Negotiate and manage maintenance contracts with key vendors and service providers.
  11. Work closely with stakeholders to ensure agreements are executed on time and within budget.
  12. Guide the supply chain team to meet project requirements, including quotes, purchase orders, and timely deliveries.
  13. Perform additional tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations and business continuity.


POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor?s degree in Business or related field required; MBA preferred.
  2. A minimum of 7 years of leadership experience in operations required.
  3. Proven track record of success in operations management.
  4. Extensive connections within the Exploration & Production (E&P) sector, with executive-level relationships being highly desirable.
  5. Strong financial acumen to manage operational budgets that align with company objectives.
  6. Demonstrated success in budgeting and managing to meet aggressive financial targets.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  1. Strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently and self-manage tasks effectively.
  2. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  3. Skilled in delivering presentations and representing the company to key stakeholders.
  4. Strategic and innovative thinker, with a strong business acumen.
  5. Ability to collaborate and work effectively in cross-functional team environments.
  6. Experience in managing field service operations, asset leasing, equipment maintenance, and service level agreements in sectors such as power generation or gas processing.
