Job Duties :

• Perform all duties of a physician assistant within the assigned service
• Works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team including the attending physician to develop and implement the therapeutic plan of care for a group of patients and ensure communication with family members.
• Plans and organizes care to meet individual patient needs and to ensure appropriate clinical resource utilization per protocols, pathways, and other means.
• Responsible for filling in should last minute absences/tardiness occur if no other coverage an be secured.
• Develops and secures approval of protocols, standards, policies and procedures.
• Monitors compliance of established protocols, policies and procedures of the hospital
• Participates in various committees as assigned.
