Do you love Homeland Security work? Looking for candidates that are passionate about Homeland Security/Operations Risk (not IT related).
This role requires 5 years of experience in Operational Risk (Not Cyber) and a degree in Homeland Security preferred. Candidate will travel to other locations as necessary assessing Operational Risk/safety (non-cyber).
As a Operational Risk Assessor (Non IT) supporting corporate operations security, your primary responsibility will be to assess and analyze potential risks and vulnerabilities(such as flooding, earthquakes, wildfires, tornados) to ensure the safety and security of the organization. You will play a crucial role in identifying and mitigating risks that may impact operations, assets, employees, and reputation. Additionally, you will be expected to quickly understand and utilize the Circadian Risk software, which is a key tool used for risk assessment and management.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments: Utilize the Circadian Risk software and other relevant tools to assess and analyze potential risks across operations, facilities, and supply chain and operations safty.
- Identify and evaluate operations Operations security risks: Identify and evaluate potential security risks, including physical security, information security (non cyber), and operational security risks.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective risk mitigation strategies and action plans. Monitor and update risk profiles:
- Continuously monitor and update operations risk profiles based on changes in the business environment, industry trends, and emerging threats.
- Provide recommendations: Prepare and present reports outlining identified risks, vulnerabilities, and recommended mitigation measures to key stakeholders and senior management.
- Stay updated on industry best practices: Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory requirements related to risk assessment and corporate security.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders: Work closely with internal teams, such as security, legal, and compliance, as well as external partners, to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to risk assessment and management.
Requirements:
- Experience in risk assessment: Proven experience in conducting risk assessments, preferably in a corporate security or related field. Familiarity with Circadian Risk software: Ability to quickly understand and utilize the Circadian Risk software or similar risk assessment tools.
- Knowledge of security principles: Strong understanding of security principles, practices, and methodologies, including physical security, information security, and operational security.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills: Ability to analyze complex information, identify patterns, and make sound judgments to assess risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Strong communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate risk assessment findings, recommendations, and reports to stakeholders at all levels. Attention to detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy and completeness in risk assessments and reports. Collaborative mindset: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners to achieve common goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in corporate Operations Risk Assessment
- Prior experience with Circadian Risk software preferred
- Bachelors in Homeland Security or related field
