Facilities Engineer - Lexington, MA
Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Director of Workplace Operations & Safety the Facilities Engineer will be responsible for providing onsite support of the equipment and facilities primarily at our Lexington location with the ability to also support our location in Watertown.
Responsibilities:
- Manages building systems to ensure optimal operations and performance while supporting and responding to building related disruptions.
- Acts as a subject matter expert for all MEP projects and systems. Manages and monitors consultants and vendors for compliance.
- Applies engineering expertise to evaluate and trouble shoot the performance of critical infrastructure systems and equipment.
- Evaluates existing and emerging equipment for upgrades or replacement of existing systems.
- Work with service vendors and equipment owners for calibrations, equipment maintenance, preventative maintenance and modifications
- Interfaces with building management for all building related activities
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5-8 years of progressive facilities engineering experience with mechanical, laboratory and manufacturing.
- Demonstrated facilities engineering experience in biotech or pharmaceutical environment.
- Experience with building alarm systems and computerized asset management
- Familiar with Standard Operating Procedures, document control, deviations, Corrective and Preventative Actions
- Experience with calibration and metrology programs
- Familiar with cGMP requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturing and GMP processing equipment
- Understanding and ability to apply ASTM E2500
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional work environment.
- Strong project manager with the ability to manage numerous issues simultaneously
- Self-starter with excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
